If you’re like me, you don’t need much of an excuse to immerse yourself in pictures of Venice.  Here’s a simple but very effective idea.  Why not collect together paintings to re-create a sense of what the city looked like at one particular period?  ‘How Venice Looked to Victorian Travelers c1890’ does precisely that – here.  (And why not listen to piano solo ‘A Day in Venice’ by Fivos Valachis while you’re scrolling?)
